The Braun family is involved in forest management in Western Slovakia. Forests are wonders and inexhaustible sources of wealth for man, but they also face major risks: it is not storms that endanger them the most, but mostly droughts and different types of insect pests on trees.

Our experience in teaching botany was able to spread from the 1990s as far as China. Today, we still offer hands-on courses and trips to learn botany.

Our family has ensured its food self-sufficiency for centuries and we continue to work hard even today - despite the complex situation of globalisation - in order to maintain this freedom. The knowledge and habits of the past are there to support us in this process.

Food independence and organic food are two advantages that go hand in hand.

Animals are an integral part of our life. But not just pets. In some parts of Europe, you may also come into contact with wild, forest and timid animals on a daily basis. I say this from my own experience when I was able to observe these magnificent deers, roe deers, fallow deers... most easily at sunset.

The food we have grown with, which we are accustomed to, and which we love is unique not only from family to family, but also from generation to generation, and most importantly, every nation in Europe has its own national food, drinks and cuisine that is irreplaceable.

Christendom forged our continent and our civilisation. We owe our success to it. The relationship with God - Jesus Christ is essential for man and fortunately the tremendous work of our predecessors allows us to benefit of this spirit on a daily basis. The same is true of the traditional Mass - the Tridentine Mass of Pope Saint Pius V - with its incomparable force forever, as decreed by the Council of Trent and the Bull Quo Primum.

BRAUN regularly organizes - at different times of the year - the traditional spiritual exercises of Saint Ignatius of Loyola, as prescribed at the time by Saint Ignatius. They usually last 5 days (the usual shortened version, the "normal" version is a month) and their benefits have been guaranteed for centuries.

Europe is filled with important intersections, historic and current, as well as full of mystical places. These places always make us learn new things and discover new strengths - which facilitate our advancement in life.

BRAUN organises group expeditions. One of them took place in Sweden from November to December 2020. Since I lived there at the age of 10, I have always been fond of these Nordic countries. The aim of this expedition was, in addition to visiting well-known Swedish cities, to discover much more hidden and remote places, from south to north, as far as the small town of Gäddede, which is almost 1200 km from the south of Sweden... which is still only half of this large country. In this land, there is not a food shop within 100 kilometres, and the light only greets us 6 hours a day. We were also impressed by the historical and symbolic strength of the Abbey of St. Brigid of Sweden (Vadstena) and the Cathedral of Uppsala, which houses the relics of St. Brigid and St. Eric. The experience was incredible.
